Eco-drivng
“ Eco-driving’ is a specialist driving technique that reduces fuel consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and accident rates.
Here at the Atlantic Star Driving School, we instruct by example; teaching our students to use their car in a safe and environmentally-friendly manner.
Techniques include:
▪ Reducing drag
▪ Rev and speed control
▪ Advanced safety
The average annual mileage for drivers is 12,000 miles. Typically, this would cost approximately £1,272 (10.6 pence x 12,000). Eco-friendly costs, as taught by Atlantic Star, are, on average, £840 (7p x 12,000). That’s a saving of £432!

▪ An introductory offer of £190 for the first 10 hours, then £200 for 10 hours

FAQs
Q: How many lessons will I need?
A: If you have little or no driving experience, you’ll need between 30 to 50 hours tuition with an approved driving instructor.
Q: Do I need a provisional license?
A: Yes. You can apply for your license one month before your 17th birthday.
Q: Can I have my lessons from college or work?
A: Yes, you can arrange with your instructor where to meet.
Q: Can I use my own car for driving lessons?
A: Yes, once your instructor feels you have mastered the controls of an approved training car for complete safety.
Q: Should I get some practice in with my parents?
A: This is a good idea and it can help cut down the number of lessons you’ll need. However, we would like your parent to sit in on a few of your lessons prior to you going out with them as this gives a good idea of your skill level.
